Things that go bump in the night!

Sometimes, it is just very hard to get to sleep! Especially in a different bed, a different house, a different state, I could go on and on with that, but won't. I went to bed around midnight. It was difficult for awhile to relax, and just as I started to fall asleep, I heard a little tune playing.....somewhere. OK, cute, but a bit annoying. About 15 mins later, it happened again! As tired as I was (OK, lazy) I decided not to get out of bed to investigate. A long while (maybe) passed, and suddenly, I heard wee little voices talking along with the music. Still, could not drag myself out of bed to see where this noise was coming from. Guess I FINALLY fell asleep, when all kinds of laughter and music and voices were surrounding me! (dreaming?) As I FELL out of my grandsons bed, I realized my sleep was being interrupted by a FISHER PRICE CLOCK! I started pressing all the buttons to get it to stop. It was saying, "IT IS 3 AM." Yeah OK so it is 3am, so shut up now! I felt like I was reverting back to my short fuse days! FINALLY, I must have hit the correct button, and all was QUIET! AHHH back to bed, Sweet dreams! I swear, if this THING start again tonight, I just may TOSS it out the window! Grandchildren.......did they have anything to do with this?

I MESSED UP!!!

I knew things were going to good on this Blog. For Sunday's blog you will have to scroll down a bit and read the Patriotic one. I wrote it Thursday, saved it, and forgot to change the date to tomorrow. Guess this all about learning, right? Anyway, just to let you know, I will have one more blog on Monday morning, then not sure when I will be able to get back on. I may be able to write a thing or two while on my vacation, but will not be able to post pics till I get home. Enjoy your week everyone, and especially enjoy the Fourth of July!
Much love to you all!

An Important Holiday!

What a Great country we live in,

It Sure IS Getting Close To The Fourth!

I am so PATRIOTIC,

I just LOVE Patriotic symbols,

Anything, that is Red, White, and Blue.

Those Colors make me feel

SO PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!

EAST AURORA NY

This is the center of East Aurora NY, the town my #2 daughter, Jennifer lives in. It is nice that there is a web cam there, so I can check the weather everyday. The scene is right near a very favorite store of mine, that I HAVE to go to every year. It's called Viddlers. When I say they have everything in that store, I MEAN everything! From kitchen gadgets to craft stuff, yarn and sewing to school supplies, and cheap things to quite expensive items. It can take quite a bit of time to check out the entire store as it is pretty big and on two floors. One of my favorite areas is the candles. They have "pie" candles that look and smell good enough to eat! I always come out of that store with something that is very unique every time I go. My sister and niece will be joining us for this outing on Friday the 3rd. My sis loves this store just as much as I do!

I have Lots of Friends (in my backyard)!

I really get a charge out of the many little critters here in Florida, and of course, always have to
be capturing them on the camera. Would you believe I even talk to them? Yeah, I do.

I really just love those little green frogs. Would you believe they BARK? Yes, they do! Shortly after we first moved here, we thought there were some new little dogs living in the neighborhood. Then, someone told us, it was just the sound of the frogs. Who would have known!

I use to do a lot of gardening, of the indoor type that is. It was a wonderful hobby, and I had a ton of plants in and around my greenhouse window. But........then I move to Florida, and found new hobbys and decided to leave the gardening up to the hubby. He enjoys the outdor type though. So , after he is done with the planting, and things are starting to look beautiful, I go around with my camera, and start snapping pics. I love to do close ups of any flower! So here goes, Hood's Gardens. (just a few things).

Keeping Cool

Yeah Mom, cherry popsicles sure are good!
Maybe tomorrow I could try one of those blue ones?
MY BOY BILL!
Now that I am learning this "blog stuff", I really want to do it right. So going to put in my first pic hopefully. Hmmmm........what shall I download????? I got it..................Billy!!!!!!!!!!!!
And by golly.............I DID IT! Not especially a great pic of the old Bill, but will suffice for now. Billy is an 11 yr old Yorkie. I want to tell you that Billy really got gypped when it cane to a beautiful hair coat. He has never had a whole lot like a (normal?) Yorkie. It has always been sparse and very fine. But......what ever he didn't get in his looks, he made up for it in his personality! He is perhaps the most spoiled dog I have ever known. He has given us many years of laughs and doggie kisses. And.....of course we love him back unconditionally. Since he loves to travel with us, we are praying that he will still be with us when we go fultime RVing. I will have to look for a fab pic I have of him in his fave blankie. It is very appropriate for the 4th of July! Most of his "clothes" are very patriotic, as he takes after me in that respect. He even has a camo shirt in honor of his big bro over in Iraq. Yes............he is my youngest "child", so he gets everything he wants! Sorry Sher, Jen, Clint, and Greg.................But Bill doesn't talk back..................much. Besides....................always have to have a "baby" in my lap!

Visiting with the grandkids

I am so excited! One more week, and I will be spending time with my two oldest grandchildren, and their parents, (Jennifer and Joe), in western NY! I haven't seen them since I was there last year in June/July. So Julia and Joey, here I come! My oldest daughter,(Sherri) from New Hampshire, will be arriving the same day! It is always fun for us girls to get together and act a bit silly. Since my husband, Ralph, and Sherri's husband, Jim, won't be there, we only have to behave ourselves when Jennifer's hubby is around. Well..........maybe we should behave a little in front of Julia and Joey..............maybe. It will be wonderful for me to get away from this Florida heat and humidity. I have had to spend way to much time indoors because of it. I am getting "cabin fever" early this summer!

I was going to wait to start this blog until Ralph and I become fulltime RVers, but decided it would be fun to start now. After all........three years is a long time to wait to blog. By that time I will really know what I am doing with this anyway.

Remembering my dad today and all those special fathers I know. Happy Fathers Day!
